My left shock started leaking a year ago…. should have fixed it. Now both are leaking…. pulled them off. send them to works performance. i am curious to see how many other big dog’ers have had to replace or had problems with their original shocks? CHIVe ON! Would also like to thank the gentleman who posted the cleaning up the starter and sanding the contacts inside. :2thumbs:

I've worn mine out and had them replaced. Wouldn't say they took a shit as you say in the poll. Just worn out from miles

noticed my left one leaking some last summer, now the right one a little. guess i need to
send mine in. anyone know what they charge? i've talked to the guy a couple of times,
said send them in and they will dis assemble, and call you about what it needs.i kinda thinks 20,000 miles is crappy, especially what they cost new to replace.:eek:

im trying not to have a bad outlook on this..... but my shocks have been there for 3 weeks.. as of yesterday had not been touched... i also was told from get go that the Works shocks for Big Dog were designed to be as heavy duty as possible from jump.... and approximatly 150 -200 dollars for rebuild... yesterday when i called the fellow i spoke to asked if i wanted a heavy duty rebuild and once they checked em out that would add another 100-to 150... felt like he was feedin me a line of bs... i tend to be a little impatient so .. im gona give it a another week and see what happens....

i thought mine were leaking so i changed out to air ride. then I realized the oil was coming from the starter so I still have a good set of shocks. I changed to air at about 14000 miles.

Never any issues. Rode 2 up all of '07...about 8k miles. I'm 6'1" and 225lbs so not a small feller!
