O ring chunks in primary mystery...

05 Pitbull I just purchased and first time taking it apart. I found some pieces of O ring inside the Primary case when I took it apart. They were small flexible rubber type chunks. Where in the heck could these have come from? Sorry. I didn't take any pics. But it seemed kinda odd to me. Everything seems ok other than the fact that I need a new pressure plate... It almost looked like they would form a 1" circle. I only found 3 pieces about 1/4 inch long...

I am not 100% sure.... but, by the dimensions you are quoting, I would say it comes from the starter shaft?

Did you check the Primary Inspection Cover?

Was it low in oil? leaks?

Could be from the shifter as well. Only way to know for sure is to drain and start taking the primary off.

I agree, take primary case off. While it's off replace, starter O-ring and main case inner & outer O rings & gaskets

No oil leaks. Inspection cover seal was fine. I will just start taking it apart as y'all suggested and go from there.

I wonder if it was pieces from the outter primary cover 0-ring along the top that maybe got pinched the last time it was off.

The ring is intact. Maybe from the previous ring..
