NUETRAL LIGHT STAYS ON

I couldn't find the earlier post explaining the testing process can someone help

Neutral light stays on all the time, pulled the connector of the tranny, still stays on when in neutral or in gear. what was the process using a volt meter on the connector as well as the switch to test ? also if it turns out to be the switch do any of our vendors carry these? Thanks

Put the tranny in gear, put your volt meter on continuity and check across the two connectors on the neutral switch. If you have continuity while its in gear then put in a new switch.

Does it stay on even with the connector pulled off the switch on the top of the transmission?

Yes it does stay on with the connector pulled off.

then its not the switch. You have a short to ground in the wiring, or theres an issue with the tach ring

Do you have a wiring schematic. Follow the green wire upstream until you find the short.if you needa a copy pm me an email address
