Now it appears I have a clutch issue!

I also checked the main shaft and it will not budge, it has no play in it at all

The teeth of the gear show some uneven wear on it.

Is it possible for the carrier to just get bent and that is causing the misalignment issue? I was hoping to have the bike up and running for a charity event this weekend, but it seems like I keep running into a dead end road

Interesting,

Not sure what the cause was, but maybe something got in the clutch plate grooves that would not let them move properly, like some debri or something. At this point, barring that your plates are good and not worn out, do a good clean out of everything, reassemble the plates back into the carrier, be very careful to make sure there is no binding in the grooves with nicks on the plates of grooves, put it all back together, set the plate pressure and torque, install, torque everything up, adjust the the clutch rod and cable, with plenty of lube on the cam and ball, cable, and rod. After all that is done, see if everything is right or back to starting point.

I have had plates get jammed before in the carrier due to improper assembly way back in the day.

Hopefully it will all be good and you can get up and ride. Make sure you put loctite on the clutch and engine nuts BTW and torque to proper steps.

Here are two videos of the inner hub play on the bike. Does it appear to y'all that the inner hub maybe is worn out/bent and that is causing the problem? I can rotate the carrier almost a full tooth on the mainshaft before it turns the main shaft.

Alright guys, I think I may have found the problem. The 4 allen head bolts that bolt into the flange, 1 off them was broke about half way into the threads. I did not notice it until I went to reassemble everything and I looked at the bolts. it appears that the bolts started to maybe back their way out of there and the one bolt snapped when I hit the pothole.

with all of that being said, I believe I will need a new inner flange and the 4 allen head bolts. So who has one that is reasonably priced?

I need part 21 and the bolts which I believe is number 18

not too sure how the bolt got broken off in the hub but at this point I think starting fresh would be the best way to go rather than try and use a easy out on it, since I already had a alignment issue

Alright, I got a clutch assembly today off a 05 with the upgraded carrier and the bike is back up and running. Other than a small oil leak from the primary cover not sealing properly upon reinstall. I think I was just excited to get it back up and running. Headed to strokers tomorrow for a short ride. Wish me luck.

It has the flanged hub. Only thing I had to use was my throw out bearing. Test drove the bike and everything was great other than a small leak from primary cover. I think I got a little too excited once I discovered the issue was fixed.

I plan on heading to strokers for a short cruise tomorrow
