not sure how to do it???

bought an 07' k-9 ....bike is perfect, except for the previous owner decided to lock tite his 3/8" allen head bolts into the plugs that hold his plugs for the sissy bar when its not installed .............they wont come out without spinning, and cant grabe them....what do i do??????thanks STING(ray):bang:

If you have a wood clamp that has rubber jaws on it, clamp it so that the top jaw is centered over the plug, and offset the bottom jaw so that you can just get the wrench beside it. If you have a allen bit and screw gun, use that as well to spin it quick to break it loose. You may have to polish out some light scuffs from the rubber, but it should do the job.

easy out? are you saying that the plug and all is spinning or that the bolt has stripped out.

if it still spins with the clamp, try putting a piece of leather between the strut and the clamp. it might localize the pressure a little more for better bite on the plug. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

got it, just drilled 2 small holes and held the top with angled snap ring plyers..thanks for all the ideas.

That was the easy way to do it!!!:rolleyes:

We were trying to come up with ways to do it to not scratch, dent, scuff, chip, drill or hammer at the plugs!!!:D

But hey!... You got it!!
