I have an 08 Mutt. I started having issues with it starting last year. I bought a new ballistic battery and put in a rebuilt starter and it got a little better. But the rebuilt starter only lasted about half the season. I finally got a brand new starter from big dog and I'm still having an issue. It seems like the ignition is timing out. At first you can hear the pressure reliefs pulling in. After a few more minutes of trying to start the engine will start to turn over little by little. The engine eventually will turn over once. Then I have to press run again to try to start it again. Normally by the time I get the engine to turn over once the battery is about dead, about 10 min of constantly trying to start. Any ideas?
Not Starting and out of ideas.

How well does it turn over with the plugs out of it?

I know you said you put a new battery in but that doesn't always mean it is a good battery or that it can handle the torque of starting our bikes.
I replaced a fairly new high end Odyssey battery with a standard 310cca battery and made a huge difference. Even thought the Odyssey tested fine every time, still didn't have the output the manufacture claimed it to have.
Might be a good starting point. Better than throwing parts at the bike.
