Montgomery Alabama here. Not too far from Panama City. I used to spend a lot of time there. Haven't been to Thunder Beach in years. Great rally. Have you been to the Navy base yet? Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center and Experimental Dive Unit are worth checking out. Will try to get down there more often.

I had a civilian job diving in Panama City picking up crap that the navy lost in 2010 but my buddy lost the contract so I’m in Texas hadn’t been in water since(except in Grand Turks). I found an axel off of a 55 Chevy about 1000 meters out. ??? That one still has me scratching my head. They were testing this mine sweeping gear called AN37U. I bet I picked up 500 of those things.

Cali is beautiful for sure. Lots and lots to do for the outdoorsman too. Some very nice people to. But the laws there suck big time. The weather is great. Beach to mountains 3 hrs. Lots of beautiful places. But to be honest. In my opinion I’m not sure if Florida is much better. ( as far as laws goes). But it sure is beautiful there. You have a great place Paul. And family back together. good for you brother... just prepare for every tropical storm because you never know.
