Noisy Exhaust

Hello all,

This is my problem. I own a 2007 K-9 with 2 into 2 big Radius Vance & hines pipes. The pipes are too loud (107 db) for inspection requirements over here in Germany. The required Db's is not to exceed 101 db ( due to their noise ordinace laws). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this temporarily for inspection without hurting the bike.:bang:

Can you put baffels in yours?
If not I would think that maybe a stock set off ebay might do the trick.
Keep an eye on this thread. I.m sure someone else will respond also.

If you don't have baffles, make a set out of some 1 1/4 inch pipe. if you do have baffles you might need to add some length to them. Just a thought

Set of 06 K9 stock pipes just came up on the SWAP forum. Might get a good deal and they will pass

My stock BR 2 into 2 pipes were 84 db. I added the welded washer trick to give me more torque on the low end and it went down to 81 db. The bike out of the box was 74 db. You should not have a problem with a 101 db limit.

I have Big City Thunder QQ baffles and about 4-5 inches of the stock V&H baffles. Not all that quite but quieter than the just stock V&H.

Look at Drag Specialties and some other after market bike parts there may be a quieter baffle you could put in there....
