Noise coming from Baker open primary

Hey guys, my Baker open primary is starting to make a lot of noise. I believe it is coming from the front sprocket. When I rock the belt back and forth, I get a clunking sound. Any ideas? Do I have a bearing going bad or something?

I'm wondering if your clutch disc fingers are wore bad enough to cause the sound your hearing...I have had MastiffDaves baker off his bike 2 times working on it...he didnt have a clunking sound it was more of a clinking sound if that make sense...what I found was the clutch disc (fibers not the steels) had enough wear on the ears that it was making a clinking sound...I put new clutch in it and it fixed the problem

Knot, I'm pretty sure it's coming from the front sprocket. I didn't install it or ever have it apart, so I'm not sure what all is involved. Everything seems OK at the moment. I don't notice any difference except for the noise. It kinda sounds like every other open primary right now. The Baker was always quiet. That what I liked about it.

Might be possible the front sprocket might have come loose but I doubt that...there is nothing there besides the sprocket sliding on the crank and bolting up...only bearing there is the crank bearing...everything on the baker open primary is a tight machine fit I do know that...you got my wheels spinning trying to remember what all is there on the baker now...and your right a baker open primary are damn near silent
