My condolences....... I would consider wire around the ehc and run a hot lead with a toggle switch and run it around for a couple of weeks or three... If you still have an issue it's dirty tank/fuel (maybe from sitting so long) or its electrical on the ignition / crank sensor or coil breaking down when hot... If you don't have any issues your ehc is on its way out and consider rewire. There are posts here that show you hot to hot wire... Good luck

our prayers are with you and your sister. As for you electrical problem, I had a similar issue with my '05 Chopper. I could ride 100 miles and it might sputter and die, but hitting the start button would bring it to life, other times it might only be 15 miles. My problem turned out to be a small wire on the tach board that had broken. It was so short it would normally lay where it needed to be for the bike to run, but the right bump or vibration would disconnect it temporarily and the bike would shut off.

Just something to check.

Good God Almighty guys! It would be a shorter post if you listed what you thought wasn't wrong with it. I think Dennis' advice will get you narrowed down. First, determine which red light is on the EHC when the bike shuts down and list anything else that shuts down, i.e. lights.
