No trouble with Big Dog

I have been looking at this forum for quite some time. And most of the post are people having problems with their BD. I for one would like to know how may people are NOT having problems and are enjoying their BD's. Any one else out there feel like I do?

I love mine, problems are part of the deal. These bikes are hot rods and can be just like hot women. Sure there can be excesses, but all in all I wouldn't trade mine in for anything. I am having speedo problems as we speak, but I will be getting a digital soon anyways problem solved...

No major probs just regular manitenace. But as with all things. If it didn't have to do with being broken down, hot babes or being drunk there would be no posts :D

I like this post. Im interested in the numbers as they relate to stock bikes versus modified. I'm a believer in the saying if its not broke, dont fix it.(although, if I were a gearhead I would probably change a lot more than I have) Maybe we should set up a poll. I have a 2003 Chopper, original ehc. My scoot has never had any problems. (Knock on wood)

The reason you see so many post on here with problems or issues on our dogs becaude this is the best of the best in knowledge. I have had a few minor issues but have put 11,000 miles in less than a year and still have a shit eatin grin from day one.:D

2005 Chopper, never left me beside the road. No major problems, key switch, squeaky belt, broken wire in head light. Love it!:2thumbs:

I had my share of shit go wrong on mine, from speedo to brakes to oil leaks including my most recent head gasket replacement but I still love the hell out of it. Many of my problems have been self inflicted too and that's how we learn. They are simply beautiful machines.

Over 11,000 miles in the last two years, never failed to start or leave me on the side of the road.
Big Dogs are like beautiful women, expensive and high maintenance, but they are fun to ride!!!

:confused:Are you having problems with your Big Dog? I have 5 different bikes and they all have a "personality of their own" which I don't consider problems. I would enjoy my BD even if it had a problem because then I would have something to fix. I love to fix stuff. Don't get me wrong. I don't want my bikes to break. I hope you do understand that people aren't just going to post that there is nothing wrong with their bike! There is probably a poll for this question!

I'm new to this board but I'm so glad I found it. I love my BD. I love the stares, the thumbs up, seeing a crowd of people gather around the bike everytime I park it somewhere. But I love this site for finding answers to problems when they do come up. I bought the manual but it really lacks in giving all the info one needs to tackle some issues. And I don't really like being over charged by someone to fix something I can do myself. So thanks to all of you for your experienced advice I've gotten so far. Never would have found that in a manual.

:(I agree that the Service Manual is lacking. However, the information in the Service Manual and research on this site usually will reveal a solution.:D
