no start

hey my buddies got a 2006 ridgeback went to start it gets nothing but clicking, batterys ok hooked jumper cables to it starter wont turn over. any ideas where to start? :bang:

check cables first at starter ground and starter. If battery is bad still may not jump start. Battery should be "load" tested. Just cause it says 12 volts doesn't mean its got as many amps left. Should not use a car to jump start anyway. Might try looking up some other past threads on hear for info, but I would start with a battery test first. Also 06 bike may have faulty voltage regulator and tripped circuit breaker in the charging system their is a update from BD to change from circuit breaker to fuse. they will do this free if the voltage regulator is one of those affected by the update.:2thumbs:
