It may be the EHC, the thunderheart modual should be potted/sealed internally to prevent water from getting in, however that was a recall that was implamented back in '04 which you profile shows to be so it may or may not be sealed, you can take it apart and see if it is. If not then you can fill it with an electric grease to keep water out in the future. As for the EHC, water may have gotten in the connector and is shorting it out, it sounds like you have a short somewhere, disconnect the connector and see if there's settled water between the pins.

vette,

The white thick milky looking stuff is dielectric grese when exposed to water.
Sounds like the EHC is tripping itself out due to a short in the electrical system.
Disconnect the battery and dry out all wire connectors and "everthing". Take the time to really check it out and ensure that everything is dried out really good!
Then re-dielectric grease all of the connectors and the 2 "D" connectors on the EHC and reinstall and retry.

Hopefully, no more issues after "all" of the water is removed from the system.

Good Luck! :2thumbs:

dead

remove your ehc, clean it out real good. let it dry. then repack the dielectric grease and reinstall. Report back.
