NO START PLEASE HELP!

Stopped to get gas in the 07 Bulldog EFI and then no start. The milage was reading on the speed-ometer and the lights stayed on even with the key off. When I turned the key on I had no response from the controls or start button at all. Called AAA and while I was waiting for the tow, I decided to disconnect the battery cable and reconnect and magic, I turned on the key and started the bike.

My question is, is this the norm or am I just waiting for trouble?

Well at least you know how to fix it if it happens again. :D That is not normal :loony: and I would say that because the system reset itself after you disconnected the Battery, it could be that the EHC is getting ready to take a dump on you. :bang: Let hope not but nothing but the EHC controls the the lights and hand controls :rant: Good Luck

have you changed anything electrical lately? that's the same exact thing my bike did when a put a hid light on it. definately sounds like something caused the ehc to go crazy.

I have the same type of bike. In 10,000 miles, I have had two incidents. The first one the bike shut off going down the highway at 60 miles per hour. I coasted to the side of the road, the head light was on, signals and horn worked. I turned the key off, refired the EFI and it restarted. The 2nd one, occurred the day after riding through the rain the next day. When I turned the key on, the start engaged, horn fired, flashers and high beam was on. Water on worked its way in the connector inside of the hand controls on the clutch side. Used a can o air and the bike restarted. Other than leaving the battery tender off for three weeks in the spring, the bike won't turn over at all.
I would say keep riding..
