Thank you
After you take the cover off make sure u mark where the cam sensor is in its position before you remove the sensor....if you take it off and dont mark the position and then you install a new sensor you will have your timing all out of whack....just pay attention to where it is located and mark it

That is good to know. Thank again

Rotor sweeps over the static sensor. Say there are two square U cuts. The open window is the break at the sensor and the spark goes out of the coil. So note the rotation of the rotor cup. As the open window begins to move close to the core pin of the sensor, call this the leading edge.

What you do is throw it in high gear, move the bike so the cup turns. This way you can line up the open window cut to the leading edge and can back up the bike to dial it close enough. Find N after that move or she starts in gear? Anyway, pick out a flat blade screwdriver. Pull the plug wire just off the plug, so you 'ear a spark' as you toggle the blade off and on at the sensor's core to leading edge so you make/break the coil to release the spark. Too old and deaf, then find an old plug and ground it to the head and look with the eyes for the spark.

This be the quick and dirty way of opening and closing a set of points... electronically. So when you plug in the new sensor, you can see if it [was] the cam sensor... using the screwdriver trick, or back to the next connection from main sensor connector to...???
