Keep in mind this is not a normal BD. It was all different, engine, trans, primary, forks, controls. All your normal thinking is a bit off. The advantage here is he could get a TH ASM Micro-Controller some Deutsche terminals, take the bodies apart and graft-in with the existing wires OR if he really wants, pull the entire harness and use the ASM harness completely. Axles, RIP, ESC are all designed for the controls we have. You do not need any of that. BUT are we sure the EHC is bad?
Another point in here, does the bike have any fuses other than the main breaker?

Now, I know this is not the same as your bike but you can take a look at the schematics in the 2 docs and get an idea of how your bike "should" be wired. Can help traces some of the wires and see what is what.
Its possible they used a similar design of the older EHC they used in the pre 2004 bikes. Might be able to use this as a reference.

Without rewiring the whole thing, is it still just power to the ignition module that is lost? I'm a bit lost now on the actual issue.
Have you checked the wire feeding the ignition module? When Run is switched you should get +12v. I'm just wondering if it's not the electrical unit but either a bad switch, wire, coils, or the ignition module isnt any good.
Would be a shame and the most expensive to rewire the whole damn bike and still have the underlying problem. Need to narrow it down first.
Not many 11's we've seen with a failure in the module so I would start somewhere else if it was me.
