So, back to the battery. A weak battery lead to all the jump starting that killed the EHC. It had to start somewhere right?

Yea, I have to agree that the bad battery started the process. Jumping a "weak" battery from another battery, without another charging system being in operation, a couple of times "shouldn't" be an issue. But again, it looks like everything that shouldn't be an issue with these EHCs, turns out that it is! :loony:
But with another charging system in operation, I see that the possible spike from it "might" trip or possibly damage the EHC! That's way it's not recommended.
But the idea of constantly repeated jumping of a "very weak" or "bad" battery along with the idea of a possible high current condition re-charging the bikes battery, in the power transfer process combined with trying to start the bike at the same time. I could see the likelihood of possibly tripping the EHCs internal main breaker!
As with most breakers, repeated tripping weaken it's ability to properly sustain it's effective holding strength during "allowable" current rating usage. I'm guessing that the ProFET breakers within the EHC are somewhat comparable! I'll have to do some research and get back to all of you on this. :2thumbs:

Ok everyone. I took the EHC out and over to the dealership to get it tested. Strokers. They went over to the shelf and grabed this black box with a big BDM on it. This thing had dust and webs on it. The guy helping me said its been over a year since he used it. Anyways he hooks everything up and plugs it in he starts pushing different buttons and scratching his head. The result, NOTHING! He said either his machine was broken or I have a problems that he has never seen before. The machine gave no warning lights, no feed back no nothing. he scratched his head and said that maybe i am the only person that the EHC has taken a 100% dump and some how shows no sign of life being hooked up to that machine. His verdict, either a broken machine or broken EHC.

NOW WHAT??????????????????????????

tell him to let you "borrow" a new EHC and test it on your bike and you'll let him know if his machine is broken.

Send me you address Pero and I will send you the New EHC I have. Being that you are strapped for cash, we can do payment later when you have the money just so payment is made within reasonable time (30 days or so) We can do 1/2 and 1/2 it doesn't matter to me just so I get all $250 of it. I am not rich or trying to get rich by selling you my EHC  I am just trying to help you. :2thumbs:

Pero,
I would suggest that if the new EHC lets the bike start up you need to do a through charging system check to be sure that the voltage regulator is not over charging and frying the EHC. I think you said you have the 40amp fuse in the wire coming from the voltage regulator to the battery. I think that if the VR is bad you could still spike the EHC before the fuse pops. Anyway check your charging system also for over charging and low/not charging. Hopes this gets you back on the road.

After several PM's, Little Boo (Carlos), has shipped out the EHC to me and should get it Wed. or Fri. The weird thing of it was that I didnt get to see the post before Carlos called me to ask me for my address and he called me right after church having a Pastor appreciation lunch.:)
Man, Carlos is a one of a kind! Much thanks, thumbs up, cheers, praise and everything else for this man!:flag::D:cheers::2thumbs::hi::up::)
If there were more people like him in this world, I could only imagine.

Everyone is right, its guys like him that make this site well worth being a member. And that goes for everyone that has helped me and helped others, spending time and giving knowledge and expecting nothing in return.

I am lucky to be able to be a member of this site and be part of the BDM family.

Hey everyone, sorry for the dissapearing act but was trying to save my home form the bad guys. So now after hitting all the pawn shops across DFW (for those not from Texas its Dallas, Fort Worth and all the cities in and around it). So after getting rid of 2 phase air compresser, all air tools, large tool box, major tools, jewelry, guns and anything i could get money for, I was able to save my home and finally sit down and put the Dog bake together again.

YES IT WAS THE EHC!!!!!!!!!!!:spank::spank::spank::spank:

I know everyone had said it was but I am very stubborn and always look to be able to fix something the easy way, but lesson learned.
Special thanks to Little-Boo as he went above and beyond the helping hand. And thanks to everyone for aiding in my call for help and giving any advice they could.

DOG IS RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to tell you but this is about 8-10k too high, with the way the economy right now you will not be able to get that since you can pick a new one up for that. You might find someone interested so I will say best of luck on your sale.

I wish I had more money.
