The headlight doesnt work at all and the blinkers and brake lights wont work as well!! The marker lights and tail lights work, but pulse continuously as the bike idles. The bike will occasionally not try to start at all, but after turning on and off the ignition and moving the bike around, the bike will turn over again!! Going crazy chasing these electrical issues!! Any direction at all will help, thank you so much in advance!!

What you've got there is a 2004 Chopper, it's different from a K9. Most likely your EHC is bad, but the first thing to check is your battery. Make sure it is getting and holding a charge, they will tell you it must hold 12.8 but my personal Chopper ran fine on an old battery holding 12-12.2 for a year.

Check under you fuel tank, I was having problems with the bike shutting down on me, I removed the tank and found a bad connector and some wires that had been shorting out on the tank, you might want to check it out to make sure everything is ok.

I cant thank you all enough for the info!! I run a small custom atv drag shop and this bike belongs to my father in law!! Since its cold here, he wanted us to take a look at it before he spent a ton of money elsewhere! I will address the current issues and check back soon! Thanks again!!

Ponca city, ok

Can someone help with some info on how to check the stator and voltage regulator? The stator plug appears to be loose and oil rotted as heck! Any info would help, got a new ech to put it, but would like to check the stator first so i dont burn up a new ech! Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!! I have heard from a local harley guy that if that plug for the stator is oil rotted that most likely the crank seal is bad inside and causing the stator to short out!! Any truth in this? In looking at the stator plug (2 wire) it looks as tho one of the female terminals (on the grommet in the side case) appears to me pushed down inside the grommet far enough that it doesnt make contact!! Any help for the newbie?
