It's true Greg. I was taling to a cop buddy of mine about it and they were instructed to start handing out tickets the date that law becomes effective.

I told him that he needed to invest in a lot of ink pens.:roll::roll:

Just another thing they're taking away from us - First the madatory helmet law and now this. He also let me know that next will be the loud pipes. Says he sees that by 2014.

What a bunch of bullshit! When is this shit gonna stop. The S.O.B.s that make these damn laws probably don't even ride motorcycles. I think congress ought to let riders make the laws.

Be glad that the States still have most of the control over the issue. The f'n Feds try to get involved at this level of detail every few years and the States fight it. They want the control and the $$!

In VA, the locals even argue with the state over who keeps the $$. Your pipes are fine in some counties and no good in others - wicked stupid.

Use to be the law in Pa not to have bars above the shoulders. If I'm not mistaken, that got shot down along with the helmet law. Bikers Active Towards Education (ABATE) was leading the fight for bikers rights here in PA and instrumental in helping to repeal these laws.

You just gotta wonder why they would enforce a stupid law like this but not enforce the use of a phone while driving, something that could kill that personand others far more than some apes will......
