NGK Spark plugs?

Lee, Are the Numbers you listed, Are they for a 117ci engine?

I don't think it says - until recently the S&S engines weren't hugely different in sizes so my guess is they should work fine - I can't think the odd cube here and there would make a huge difference - I'm no expert so maybe the vet can chime in?

I have heard that the NGK are the most reliable plugs out there.
Also, if anyone needs the copper anti-sieze, I can get it for you.

another interesting question is the gap - we all know the gap for a stock bike is .040 - what I personally don't know is how mods affect this, particularly increased compression - I seem to remember Sul he runs a different size gap - any views?

Here is a spin......I use Autolite Platimun.....never had a problem....alittle copper antiseize.....never fouled a plug yet.....JMHO

I just put the iridium in my bike. works great!!!

Tried the "U" groove once...definite snake oil!!! Those split fire plugs are crap as well...don't remember who makes them, but I've seen the electrode fail at the split and rattle around beating the shit out of the top of the piston and the head.:zz2cents:

I use the Autolite 4164 in mine and they run great. Might look in to the NGK on the next change though. Hoat is pretty sharp on Big Dogs and if he says that the NGK's run great, I'll buy in to that.

Hoat, I recently changed plugs to the NGK DCPR7EIX and your right, They run better than anything yet. I was running Autolite 4164's and they were also good but you can tell a small difference using the irridium NGK's. The NGK IX's are my choice now. Much more money than standard plugs but Jason said this was the plug to use and I am a believer in what he preaches.:2thumbs: :2thumbs:

according to the fact sheet, calls for .044. don't know whether it should be that big or not.

NGK says you don't have to gap the iridium plugs, but I do at .040 inches.
