I Have not been on the Forum for a while after selling my 06 bulldog.went to
rmyrtle beach for the fall rally.went to the harley shop to get a t shirt for my boy.while I was there I checked out the bikes.they had taken in a Wolf on tarde for a street glide.after a couple of hours of we cant sell the bike for what you are offering I climbed the chain of command and scored the bike.I even left my number and Drive off at one point when we were 200 apart.as much as i liked the bulldog the Wolf is better.just when I was out the Wolf pulled me back in.

Also, I had a very long discussion with a tech at S&S concerning the cam belt issue on the X-Wedge 121. He indicated their initial thought that caused premature cam belt failure was because the tensioner being too tight. They have since tested and determined that it is caused by very high temperatures in around the belt area. This would apply to anyone riding for an extended period of time in 105-110 degree temps. He said they could cause failure of the belt by duplicating this condition at S&S. They are working on a new design to vent the cam cover.

So...depending on where the bike came from or your riding conditions, it may be wise to inspect the cam belt. My Wolf came from PA, not knowing the cause I immediately replaced the belt....which was good, so I wasted a hundred bucks for the security of knowing it was new.

He suggested that if the owner rode in very hot temps, until the new cover is designed and available...(IMO which will probably cost an arm and a leg) that they should consider modifying the cover to vent that area, either by cutting slots on both sides, holes etc....obviously rechroming would be required.

Sorry one more point....I'd also recommend you download the software and manual for Protune 3.3 located on the S&S website, it's free..... if necessary, this will allow you to read any Check Engine light codes from the ECM
