New Twin Tech ignition install questions

Hi all! So Curtis from WSW got me hooked up with a new Twin Tech ignition and I'm trying to install today. Pretty straight forward so far but I have one question. The diagram from Twin Tech shows the tach as optional. I dont have a tachometer there but I do see the connector for it by the EHC and I was wondering do I need to make a connection to the new module there even if I don't have an actual tachometer? Will the rev-limiter feature of the new module function if I don't? My guess is no but I'm not sure. Which wire on ehc-side do I use if I do? I've got a black, yellow, and red.

Also, what's up with the VOES? I don't have one on the bike do I need one? If not can I ground this wire or just isolate it? Any help is much appreciated!

I am sure Curtis got you hooked up but VOES is a Vacuum Operated Electrical Switch (VOES). It deals with timing on a bike. Under different conditions it will advance or retard timing. The instructions should have told you what to do if you do not have a VOES equipped bike. I have the Twin Tec on my sportster and the directions where straight forward.
