Got my new K9 unloaded this morning and on the lift. First thing i have to put the stock forward controls on . Dave gave me a lot of spares including the forward controls. Thanks again Dave.

Thanks, just finished swaping the forward controls back to stock. Now i can reach them...

No, its off the fender a bit. I do need to find a luggage rack though.

Congratulations Paul—glad to see you scored a great bike deal! I got a pretty good deal on a used luggage rack at Austin Bikers Dream (as I remember anyway). I know in the past they have sold used BD accessories.

And worst case you can make a emergency luggage rack from PVC pipe, hose clamps and a couple of leather/rubber strips.

I bought a luggage rack from Curtis - I actually prefer those he made than the original BDM ones.

Agreed, but make sure to use the parallel to the ground version vs the parallel to fender.
When I had the parallel to fender a heavy bag rally wanted to pull off of the rack and I broke a few straps on kuryakyn bags that way.
If you only do day trip type luggage it doesn't really matter.
