After 1.5 years trying everything I (and all suggestions everyone could give me here on the forum)-I gave up and bought the DD when it came out. It is a fantastic speedo...suck up the price and save yourself a LOT of headaches.

I was hoping to get an anolog one
i do like them better but the dakota would match better
I may just go that way
Thanks

I can take it back and have it replaced
nice 3 hr. drive then they replace it and i bring it home and take a ride and let it fog up when it gets cold or wet
their junk and no warranty will fix that unless you do away with the problem
you know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and looking for a different resut is( insanity)
I may take it their in the spring but I know i will be frustrated after it starts to fog up in the cold
works perfect in the heat
Its cold and damp in the fall up here

I have an 09 Mastiff and the fogging issue was getting unbearable. I asked my dealer (Iron Lightning) to fix it and they did. There is some rubber grommet in the housing that they took off and since the removal, I have had no fog at all.

Thank you Remorris
my dealer told me the same think he said that was the fix
I was a little leary on the whole deal , but I was going to try it . After you proved that it worked I owe him an appoligy
Thanks I am going down now and rip it off
My question is why did they they put a plug in there if it causes fogging

It hasn't worked for a lot of us or those of us in moist climates.

If the speedo you are referring to is the one used on the new Bulldog I've already posted a whole thread on it. BDM is still developing the mount that attaches it to the bucket. When that is done it can be retrofitted to all bikes that use the current style bucket.
If you are referring to some other speedometer then I don't know.
You have the option of the Dakota Digital also and it may be cheaper in the long run.

The fogging seems to be isolated to only the Autometer gauges. The new speedo on the Bulldog is made by a totally different manufacter. In fact they made the speedos for Indian and Polaris or one of those other big "snow machine" companies to name a few!
