New spike...

got the new spike put on snce the other air cleaner i had picked out would suck to much air and could not be jetted correctly.

looks good - not sure how an intake can suck too much air though

Streetwalker pipes?? how is the clearance with those bad boys?

Its the spike thats a bad filter. You went backwards or at least sideways. You can't suck to much air.

I agree with Pro never saw a spike angled like that before. Also agree that you cant suck to much air hell guys run open velocity stacks on vtwins without problems.

Actually you have that option, horizontal, vertical, and 45 degree. At a 45 is the only way I haven't had mine. Mine works better vertical than horizontal.

I'm over the spiked air filters... but lets hear more about those pipes... they were some inspiration for my current exhaust design.

this is the air cleaner i wanted on the bike but jamies customs in big bend wisonsin could not get it to run right. so i opted for this look. the 45 degree angle actually has ben done on one other bike that gave me the inspiration....the cody bike...green and chrome chrome frame. i did not want a spike but i like the look. i went chrome and black...i put one on 03 chooper 5 years ago and was one of the first to ever run one. appreciate the input. ive ben big dog since 02...not much i have not seen or heard about the bike. i started big dog hardtail and now im back hardtail for life! :up:

ps the street walkers have plenty o clearance and rock.. i ran grumpy rehabs on my 03 chooper and loved them also.

...from all of the pics I have seen, I liked the streetwalkers, but assumed they would never work for us... far from being the first time that I've been wrong, but they should take some new pics for their site.

I have wondered why no-one else turned their spikes to the 45, but I have not bhad a spike...
