New Pipes

I got my new pipes on today. They are HOOKER Troublemakers. What a big difference! They look and sound great and all of the decel pop is gone. Plus it was a super easy install. Everything fit perfect. I want to let you guys know that HOOKER is closing their motorcycle pipe division so they are clearing out all their pipes. The Troublemaker pipes are regularly $675.00 but I ordered them directly from HOOKER for $185.00.

I would show you guys a picture of them but everytime I try I get a message saying FORBIDDEN !!!

WHATS THIS ALL ABOUT?

Skooter,
something was going on with the gallery but it seems to be working now. You can also use photobucket as that works too.

I'm still trying to upload pic's but it just won't let me. It won't even let me upload pic's in the gallery. I just went to 2 other forums that I'm a member of and I can upload pic's there so I don't think anythings wrong on my end.

They are part # 27407-3HKR. They list for $746.71 they are on sale for $238.98 and if you call Hooker direct they will sell them to you for $185.00 + $20.00 for shipping. They are the slach cut pipes.

Thanks ... was just making sure. THe slash cut in your pic looks great - on the Hooker web site the cuts look truned down - so thanks for the pic and clarification. Am buying 2 sets - the Darkside. Looks great one can always do with extra sets of pipes - :) :) Did you just call them and ask for a discounted price or they they just offered it up? Good to know. Thanks again.

nice pipes dude... how do they sound? did they come with baffles?

They come with baffels installed. I left them in. They were way to loud with them out. They have a good deep sound and are still loud with the baffels in. Loud enough to still piss off the neighbors. The pipes are ceramic metallic coated on the inside and out and all the heat shields come pre installed.

They just offered up the cheap price. Their website says they have 11 sets left.

Heres some pic's with the Arlen Ness Velocity Stack installed. I was going to sell it because I was having trouble getting it tuned in but a fellow forum member told me what to do and now it runs like a bat out of hell. I also installed new stainless braided fuel & vent hoses.

the pic of my bike shows my Hooker Troublemaker Darkside pipes... nice pipes. However the bolts to the bracket sheared off and BDM Tampa just replaced them with some bolts from V&H. Pipes look and sound great. Sorry to hear they are getting out of the motorcycle pipe business...

Some of you PM'ed me and wanted to hear what they sound like. I just have a small Sony camera but it does video clips as well. Everytime I try to upload the clip it says it's a invalid file. It's a MPG file. How do I put it up here?

I didn't use the Hooker bolts. I used the BDM chrome Alen bolts off of my stock bracket. They look better than the plain jane ones from Hooker.

Currently using the regular baffles, but I also have the quiet baffles. The pipes are really loud without baffles

here are the standard and the quiet baffles
