Just bought an '07 K9. It's low miled for the age of the bike (2900 miles) When I receive it I want to drop all the oils and replace it with new. I have a '12 HD Street Glide with a built 113ci engine in which I use HD's SYN 3 oil everywhere. Is this oil a good option for my Dog or should I take a different course of action for it?

Sorry if this seems to be a "dumb question" but I don't have any books or the bike yet. I just want to get all the supplies ordered so I can drop the fluids when it arrives....

motor- amsoil syn, mobil 1 syn, something along those lines.

primary- revtech primary, some use ATF. (but don't use syn, too slippery for clutches)

trans.- redline heavy shock 75-140 or equal.

if you want to go with amsoil, talk to mad dog and he will tell you how to get set up as a preferred customer.

Yup, AMSOIL :2thumbs:

Lots of threads here about fluids.... you can literally spend hours reading about members preferences, experiences with different fluids, etc.

I'm going with Amsoil in the engine and Redline in both the tranny and primary. My HD dealer claims that Redline is better than Revtech fluids....

And stop using syn3 in the hd.

On the 113, if your valve springs are over 300 pounds expect to kill the valve train every 10-16k miles.

Get woods springs for the valve springs.
