As you could see in my How To Replace your Headlight thread, I replace my headlight. Its a nice upgrade thats not all just bling bling. The better headlight is designed to provide a better amount of light to the pavement. Coupled with a better than standard bulb, being the PIAA... its a great mod for around $150!!

Night riding? What's that?

Oh yeah the thing I don't do this time of the year cause its too dang cold out when the sun goes down.

So I don't know. There are a few others that have did the same exact mod... maybe they could tell us. At least till I get good enough weather to ride at night

I just got the PIAA bulbs ordered today, when I get them I will check them out when I ride home from work at 10:30 pm(of course when it warms up again) When I rode home them couple of days last week...it was cold! :nopity: I will probably get the same set up you got Gas..(the different headlamp) in a couple of months...

I installed my Adjure light & PIAA bulb last night, just in time for the rain to start - so no test drive.

HEY GAS MAN - It looks to me like the Adjure lens shoots the light beam higher than the stock one, though at the moment I'm just guessing. That's one of the things I want to check out on the street at night. Did you find it necessary to lower the can at all??

I have not rode my dog at night or even had it out at night yet... so I have no idea.

Its been months... between weather, work, crap, and the dog breakin down... just haven't got to it yet. Not that the 2 allens makes it hard!

Hey Gas.....I just installed my new PIAA Plasma bulb today. I took my bike over to a friends and we had to drill out that 1st set screw...being that I couldn't get it out with a small EZ-out. Everything went good! I just replaced the bulb for now....I will do the lamp probably next year.I put some never seize on the threads, then put a little loc-tite on the new chrome screw that I used for the decorative ring...and thanks to your thread on how to replace bulb and headlight....everything went good! the light looks sweet. I will check it out at night when I ride home from work next week. All we had to do is re-tap the set screw hole with a little bit bigger screw and cut the screw down so is was flush on the bottom of the head light bucket and it looks pretty good. chrome screw with a kinda round head on it.Thanks again for your help!

Yes it does! it has like a purpleish tint on the low beam and a brighter high beam. I will check it out at night when I ride home from work...oh yeah....I already have 1171 miles on it now!:whoop:

Ok....I rode the bike to work today and when I got out at 10:30 pm....the ride home was pretty sweet with the new PIAA GTX-Plasma bulb that I put in a couple of weeks ago. It is alot brighter than the stock bulb and when I used the brights...I could tell the difference from the PIAA vs. the stock bulb.A guy I work with is going to buy a pair of them after seeing mine on my bike. Thanks again Gas for telling me about these bulbs...they are the shit!:whoop:

Yeah I rode home from work last night too for the first time at night this year. They have a nice color on the road, plenty bright... plus with my new adjure head lamp the light was real flat and out front where I want it.

A small adjustment up when I got home and I think its golden.

Yeah I think I actually ordered mine from Vickie. You can get all the links to online stores in my first couple posts.

However, I ordered the bulbs, yes the same ones you said, from the link in the second post of this thread. Its a online car store. But for only $20 more than Vickie and other MC sites you get 2 of the same bulbs.

Chopper Dave ordered from the same place. Took about 5 days for us to get the parts... may be quicker for you being they come from Cali.

I used this adjure/PIAA setup the other night for a few miles from work to home. I'm very happy with the light output.

Thanx GMan,

I think I may have to at least try the bulb for now.
Fatdog....I ordered from the same place as Gas said....Direct Tuning....$64.00 for the 2 pack and free shipping! I just changed out my bulb for now...I will probably do the headlamp some other time. I could tell the difference from the stock H-4 bulb vs. the PIAA Plasma bulb. The PIAA has a purple tint on the low beam and a brighter Hi beam! I really like the bulb and looks cool also!:2thumbs: :whoop: I think it was money well spent!
