When you call me to hook up again at the "Hu Ha He Ho" place again.
While I had it somewhat apart I continued with my wiring and took off the side panels and sealed up some more wiring. I did the bottom wiring loom that runs along the bottom frame rail and it was a pain with everything in the way.
But most of the wiring I got sealed up and some of it was double sealed and some triple sealed.
Tight as a submarine now. Thats for when I ride with Knotso that always seems to drag me out in the middle of a monsoon!!!!
Here I added some material to the wiring loom to prevent grounds. You can see several areas of wiring that have rubs marks that some go all the way to the wire. Even the protective wrap has taken its toll after so many miles.
Here is the wiring for the air ride system that is not used on my bike but yet wired into the EHC or where ever it's wired into so I put a dab of RTV in the connector to seal it and then shrunk wrapped it.
Here is the Ignition wires that have three connectors. I filled each connector with die-electric grease then shrunk wrapped them for a tight seal. These wires run along the front and bottom of the battery box on the 05 Chopper.
Here is the wiring loom from the back fender for the tag light and tail lights. It's taken a lot of abuse so I shrunk wrapped each wire then doubled and triple wrapped them. These wires I found last summer to have lots of wear damage giving me intermittent light flashings. It's sealed up pretty good now!
My neutral light has always given me problems so I took the weird plug and on the terminal side filled it with die-electric grease and on the EXPOSED back side I filled it with RTV.
So that along with my tight wrap/sealing of my wiring loom along the back bone should make for a problem free summer this year as far as grounded wires go. But you never know what to expect so we should always be prepared for the unannounced gremlin visit!

How did you decide how far forward/back to place the washer "baffle?"
The performance "Niterider" site Exhaust Systems that's advertised the washer thing says to install it 1" from the end of the pipe. However, the Thunder Monster co. says to install them 5" in but they are a bit different with the pipe reducer.Very nice - I see you chose to smoke 'em OUTSIDE the garage this time.

These smoked a LOT more than the last two and yes I pulled it outside this time!
Of course it was 37 degrees outside also so that may have had something to do with all the smoke. Pretty scary though if you are not prepared for the smoke.

Ray, have you considered breaking the 4 million zip ties on the lower harness under the right side of the the engine. There must be 10 more connectors down there. Everything from your rear brake light switch, to your speedo and nuetral switch wiring. I know I'll be sealing those as well this time cause heck... they are closer to all the road water...
Yeah, I did them. They were a real pain as there is not much room to work with down there with the oil lines but I did get them done.
The whole wiring harness is now watertight!!!!
Ready for any rain storm.

look great - sound great - perform great? Ray - why did you put the washer baffles in? presumably those pipes had baffles already but you like the adjustibility? I got 2 into 1's coming and it hadn't even crossed my mind about changing the baffles in them (as they are 2 into 1) until I saw your vid.
No Lee, the Stainless Creations pipes don't come with baffles so to retain the bottom end I put the washer/baffle in.
Again, my 5th pipe so will have it dyno'd this spring and have the dyno guy adjust the washer to where my bike will give me the most lower end. I could care less about total hp as I want it to give me the best gas mileage and my everyday ride ability.

Would something like a JBWeld work for the washer/bolt lollipop or is that not going to be a strong enough hold?

Just read that its not recommended for exhausts. I was just exploring ideas outside of welding since I do not have access/knowledge of it.
