I'm excited, my new (to me) 08 Mastiff is on the truck and in route from Texas, will be here tonight or tomorrow at the latest, thanks again to HMAN for checking it out for me prior to purchase. Need opinions please, what things should I be expecting issues with or need to check out? I've had no problems with my 04 Mastiff but have followed threads on some with the newer bikes. Clutch hub nut, clutch basket, dreaded EHC? Any insight or recommendations of things to check over prior to riding from you guys will be greatly appreciated.

did the basket itself crack or did the clutch hub nut come loose?

Which shipping company did you use?

Thanks guys, really appreciate every ones comments, input and suggestions, keep'em coming. Got it from Dream Machines, didn't ask which shipping company they were using, just the $$ amount of ins coverage they carried. Will post some pics this weekend, after I get a new pc, mine just to a crap, had to borrow my ladys to get my evening forum fix.

Only issue I've had was the clutch hub nut coming loose. I performed the SB that toodie listed. The o-ring was still on my scoot. Other than that the scoot has been flawless. I did have Bobby go through my transmission and replace my main shaft bearings but that was with normal wear, I've got 26,000 miles on it so it was time to have that done...

Hey Eric, it was actually out of Witchita, but they sent it down to there Texas dealer and then over to me, 30 minutes out is the latest word from the driver.

Would there be anyway to determine if the service bulletin has been performed other than tearing into the transmission?

Interesting. To be honest I was told that there was no affiliation between the Texas an OK Dream Machines when I was at the one here in Dallas. Different owners I was told. The Dallas and Austin site have the same owner however, at least that was my understanding.

Possibly the sales guy I talked to didn't know his ass from his elbow. Which could be the case I spoke to the guy at Dream Machines in Dallas told him I wanted a ridgeback I'm looking for a solid color and perferably black with no gay paint jobs. Well they didn't have one in stock said he would keep a look out, low and behold a month or two later one came up in Austin I found it myself surfing the site. I called them up seperatly and then through the Dallas location got involved. I'm guessing they were not interested in selling a bike from a different location as they didn't get any kick back.

First ride today and wow, blown away!!! Can't believe how much stronger and faster it is than my 04, absolutely love this bike, the fat 300 tire, the looks and the ride. Very happy with my purchase, hats off to HMAN once again. Will get pics up soon.
