Ok want to order one soooooo.... searched Nelson ....not in the "N" under user names. Went to Wicked Bastard cycle web-site and product search cruise-mate got no returns. Called WB Cycles got a recording to leave a number.How the f&%^* do you order the dang thing? Dont want to use the Big Dog web site due to personal issue with them.(Basically went to the factory in Witchita for a part and they told me that they wouldnt sell me any parts that I have to go to my nearest dealer to get pats so screw em)

If you order from BDM online the dealerships bid on your order so you aren't exactly going directly thru BDM. The dealerships do the work filling the orders.

If you order it directly from BD online, they will put a search to the nearest dealer to you that has one in stock. You will probably have it in 3 days. I bought an oil coller from them and received it real quick. Also the closer the dealer the less the shipping cost.

Just to add to this discussion--Does anybody have a electronic cruise control installed on their BD ? If so what kind. I have the same problem as stated above, when riding on the interstate keeping a constant speed. Any sugguestions ?

The cruise mate comes with complete instructions and the proper jig to install in right handle bar control. Tells you what size drill bit and tap to use. Just make sure there are no metal slivers left in the control when re-assembling. If you call up the cruise mate site, it will give you full instructions also.

Hey Andy, hold up on that, before you make a decision. I was just looking at this thread earlier today myself. I have two dogs in my shop right now, that want a throttle lock put on them. they both brought me the thumb screws for the Harley controls. I'll post on here if it is possible to make them work. Less than $10 verses $70. Let's see what happens.

The cruise mate is still the best mod I have done on my hound and it still works quickly and flawlessly after all these years. That thumb screw throttle lock that came on my Harley sucked in comparison as it is not as quick to use as the C mate, got to the point I never used that thumb screw thing. But hey, saving $$ is a good thing and can't wait to see how it turns out:2thumbs:

Ok, for those that are waiting for an answer. No the Harley thumb won't work. There isn't enough room in there to get all the parts in there properly.
