thanks that's good to know but im still having prob with un burned fuel and causing bike not to fire when starting ,do you know what the fuel pressure reading should be im killing my starter trying to get it to fire ,I will usually drain the battery trying then I recharge and it will fire instantly and it does it when its been sitting a day or if I just rode it for a couple hours

awesome thanks and I noticed in the service manual it calls for 8.8 mm spark plug wires and mine only has 6 mm so that's a problem I looked on ebay and they have 12mm twisted high performance set ,would they be ok to use or stick with the 8.8 mm ,sorry im not a mechanic just troubleshooting but thanks for repys

Did you install the wire plus yourself?. I did mine a few years back and can't remember which wire I had to run to the battery if you do a search on her you should find the old post where I received some help on this
Can you hear the fuel pump charge when you turn the key on ?
no I never installed it I took it to shop and worked great for yr after just this yr having misfire and wondering if that needed to be done and yes I hear the fuel

There is a pitfall using wire plus on a EFI bike. It does not supply constant power to the VFI (EFI) module. This needs to be corrected or the VFI will loose memory everytime you turn ignition off. Its hard on the module too.

Based on your questions, it appears that it's not understood the Wire plus has nothing to do with the EFI system, as it has its own control module. The WP does supply battery and ignition feed to it however.

Mine is an 07 bulldog im goin to flush the oil cause if i put a rag over exhaust and throttle it i smells a ton of gas on it , get new plugs and wires and see how that works , who ever had my bike last time only used 6mm spark wires and manual calls for at least 8.8 and spark plugs are black as hell and changed them a month ago

Tom (groundpounder) had one of the drivers that controls the fuel injectors inside his VFI module go bad and it was dumping raw fuel in the engine/exhaust.

Not sure wires and plugs will help your issue. I would remove air cleaner and check to see if injectors are pulsing with just the key on and in Run state.

Is the check engine light coming on and staying on? The EFI system will try to do an optimum air to fuel ratio and adjust to try and hit 14.7 to 1. To run so rich as to have so much fuel going into the cylinders it could be several things. You could have a bad front or rear sites code causing it to try and dump more fuel in to get to 14.7 to 1. This could be caused by an intake leak or something that could contribute to the ratio to be different that stock. Did you put a cam in the bike, change exhaust or air breather? You could have an engine temp sensor that is sending a bad reading to the VFI module. When the bike is running does it run smoothly or does it seem like it is misfiring? If it is misfiring the engine temp sensor could be making the VFI module think the engine is overheating and putting it into skip fire mode to try and cool the cylinder walls. Depending on the temperature reading it "see"s" it could be skipping one out of nine, one out of 7 or one out of 5 spark revolutions. This dumps raw fuel into the cylinder to cool it.

Oh and just FYI the RIP EFI kit does have a constant power supply for the VFI module as well as the two ignition switch power inputs.

It has been backfiring when i let off the throddle after hitt it hard but other then that not bad and no other mods , i took the air filter off and tons of carbon so sprayed with air sensor cleaner and cleaned it out good then looked at the fuel injectors and one was hesitating so goin the get the kit and clean the fuel injectors the right way and then see , again thanks for the help

k cleaned out the throttle body and did a fuel injector cleaning and bikes firing up better then ever but now wont hold an idle when I let off throttle ,took it for long run on highway to clean it out and ran great ,could the idel thing just need to be run more cause the throttle body cleaner is working its way though the engine?

well disconnected the battery for a couple days and installed new voltage reg and stator and bikes running great now but battery tests good but drains quickly on start up on the meter on a full charge its like 13.4 and when I start the bike it drops to almost 8 on the meter could the starter be draining to much ??
