Well sort of. :whoop:

Yesterday I decided to do some required maintenance on my bike so I stripped off the carburetor then decided to pull my exhaust. Then I pulled my clutch cover to do the clutch rod. Must have been the beer cause next thing you know I have the clutch cable and throttle cables pulled for a good lubing.
Then I tightened up my front forks cause they were real loose and still need the bearings changed or races as there is a definite groove in there where the forks normally ride (must be that 50,000 mile rut!).
While I had the carb off I took it apart and cleaned it real good then put it back together. I washed and re-lubed the filter too. Pulled and cleaned the tappet screen.
Replaced the exhaust gaskets then took the pipe outside and repainted the exhaust wrap so it looks nice and black again.
Pulled the shift linkage and cleaned and oiled the hiem joints, they are shot and in need of replacement but with fresh lube they will make it through the summer. Ensured all the oils were topped off and the tires were at the right pressure and even wiped it down.
Put some fresh Iridium plugs in it and put everything back together and took it for a ride today to the JR Hideout ride as posted in another thread and it ran and felt like a brand new bike. I couldn't believe how great it felt!
:2thumbs:

Getting ready for the Sturgis Rally. Should be about a 4000 mile trip depending on how many miles we put on in the Black Hills and what route we return on.

Have you done your maintenance today????? :D
