OK...my first BD is/has been on order for 6 weeks now. What should my expectations be for delivery. 08 K-9, Level 5 paint, EFI, chrome package, and diamond cut heads. 6 weeks have passed and BD has not even given a delivery date. Dealer says they hope that any day the factory will call to say it's on the line. WTF? I know I'm eager as a mofo but really what should I expect?

A local guy here in Cape Coral ordered one around Jan or Feb and they delivered it in April. That was a K9 level 8 paint and all the other goodies as well.
They usually take a few months depending on the level of paint you want on it.

Mine was a std. black cherry paint on the showroom floor. Bought the bike & sent all sheet metal back to BDM for a level 5 paint. Took 4 weeks just for that.

The paint shop is probably still overwhelmed from the winter rush. Mine was 6 weeks for new paint only.

Could you call bdm yourself, and find out what stage the bike is at?
Mine took 3 months, but I completely specified the paint detail.
You can work with the factory to find out when it will be painted and/or assembled.
I did, and I visited the factory to see how they were doing it. Here's a pic of the painter holding my partially finished tank.
