I also hav an '05 Chopper(DT version). Yur 1st pic must be yur EHC, but not BDM stock version - as I'm running. Mayb Paul or someone else can enlighten us on type u hav in 1st pic.
Do you have any pics of your ehc? It is the box located in your battery Tray.Any help would be appreciated. I am at a loss.
I have a 2005 big dog chopper. She killed a battery so I replaced, then replaced starter. When I started with this mess the dash would cycle “on” when I hit the run button. It just wouldn't start and killed batteries really quick trying to start. Now it won’t even cycle on. I assumed ignition module so I replaced that but nothing changed.
So; new battery, new starter, new ignition module but no start. (See Pic) These 3 lights on the module under the seat light up (but in the beginning when it was still cycling on I seem to remember a red light???) and the headlight and dash lights come on when I turn the key but literally no other activity. It won’t even try to turnover or cycle the dash when I hit the run button. No horn, no blinkers, no decompression clicks, no nothing. Any help will be much appreciated.
No lights on the new ignition module.
I know you guys know these bikes upside down and sideways....
Thanks,

This to me does not sound like an ehc issue. Wouldn’t hurt to check the wiring harness to the controls either. Loose connection or frayed connecting in the controls would cause the turn signals, horn etc not to work.I might be making this harder than it needs to be..... When I turn the key on with a full battery the dash lights up and shows mileage but doesn't cycle on, the horn, blinkers, and run button seem to all be inop
That is not the ehc, the ehc is the box that the main wiring harness plugs into. That is his ignition module.Paul, look at the 1st pic he posted of module in battery box area & tell us what it is - brand, etc.

you have a wires plus unit, no longer in business.
Aftermaket wire plus unit, it was the first alternative ehc unit. They are no longer in business but the green light on the unit means it is working. I am leaning towards something in his hand control wiring harnessPaul, look at the 1st pic he posted of module in battery box area & tell us what it is - brand, etc.
Thanks, I knew u'd know plus u enlightened me on what they look like. Also mayb u or someone w/knowledge can help Jeffrey with functions of its lights & testing. But as u stated earlier I'd definitely ck right side switch board 1st. Thanks again.you have a wires plus unit, no longer in business.
There are other options.

I would look at the wiring harness that controls both the left and right controls. Could be the board but due to the fact that the left turn signal and horn don’t work either, I am leaning towards the wiring harnessThanks, I knew u'd know plus u enlightened me on what they look like. Okay check the harness that runs up the back bone and connects the controls from the wire plus unit. Look for bare wires, also check the jst connections make sure all the wires are locked into the jst connections. Disconnect the jst and look for broke pins use electronics cleaner and die electric grease and reconnect. From there check the wiring harness for continuity. Here’s a better pic of harness connectors.
Does the green light on the module light up when the key is turned on? I thought I saw that it was lit up but just verifyingHere’s a better pic of harness connectors.
No, I’m getting 3 of 6 on the board lights but the black box module that has 1 light and 1 bolt running thru it does not light upDoes the green light on the module light up when the key is turned on? I thought I saw that it was lit up but just verifying
