New article on BDM Corp. Go get 'em Sheldon!!!

Respectfully, I totally disagree. Sheldon said their production has been down and that they are only making made-to-order bikes right now... no surprise. The whole world knows American V-Twin sales are in the crapper.

The comments are dumbass comments because they talk about how shitty the product is, so yesterday, unreliable, and all that crap.

Your reply is, with all due respect, on the verge of being in that same category as well because you make no point other than to say what Sheldon already said - sales are in the crapper and they are searching for a way out.

Good luck to 'em

I am always amazed at what ppl come away with after reading a newspaper article. In this case it appears some stong opinions are being injected into these comments, here and online.

Bottom line is BDM is doing everything possible to come out the other side of this economy in a very strong position, and in new markets.

The new chopper will be in production very soon.

The BDM Bagger is one sweet ass ride.
When I get old and can afford a bagger, that is the scoot for me. Abundent power, very crisp, and handles extremly well. Yes, I have spent more than a few minutes on it.

Get the Bulldog, you will only reget not buying one sooner.

There seem to be many "facts" floating around about BDM.

Ok, what are the facts and where is your credible information coming from, or are these the "facts"
Not picking on this one post as there are several,, I would ask the same for others that are voicing "facts". Let us know where you are getting these from, or if you are not sure but have "heard this and that".
Several of us look into some of these "claims of fact", then wonder why would someone with no valid info put this non info to print..
If it is a fact, state your source, if it is an opinion, say so, no issue.

Just the facts ma'am. (from a tv series Dragnet)
Opinions stated as fact are not cool.

^^^ I am not at liberty to disclose where or how I find certain information ^^^

This is a "message" board, certain people relay messages, other try and hide those messages. It's all about how WIDE open your eyes, ears & mind are.

TXBigDog........my bike is still in my house, can't enjoy it yet. Sooner or later I'll get it out.

That's like asking the question, "What will we all do for food when all the grocery stores close up"?
Where did you get this information? Now I have to go stockpile food and buy an underground shelter to store it all! GREAT!!! :willy_nilly:

Ralaying is cool when from a reliable source, such as the newspaper link. And do not see anyone hiding credible info. The wide open comment is so vauge it borders on meaningless IMO. Gotta believe that curernt Big Dog owners and those that own other production customs do have their eye, ears, and mind wide open to all that is happening in regards to their scoot.

It all comes down to what info are you putting out there? Factual based on facts or facts based on opinion.

The newspaper article has a lot of information in it, and has many positive tidbits in it to think about, but overall it is a positive sign that Sheldon is very focused on the future and being in a stronger position for future growth. Hell, if BDM thought for a second they had not future in bike sales, they would have done the easy thing and closed shop and gone out of business like several other similar companies.

These are my opinions:cheers:.

All I'm saying is, people have been building motorcycles now for well over 100 years. And people are still to this day, "by themselves", are refurbishing the ones that are older than dirt so that they may run once again. :2thumbs:
It's no biggie to fix, "if" something bad "were to" happen.

So don't be sweating what's not happened, until it happens, and even then, Don't Be Seat'en It"! :nono::nonod:

dead

TexasRaider,
Thanks and so far Strokers has really taken care of me. Old Uncle Sam had some issues with my bonus and Allen has worked with me with no questions asked. I can't wait to see the shop there at Strokers and meet Allen and Rick. I think I made a great choice in going with Strokers and BDM.

Lets end this discussion on a good note....

As I mentioned, I hope BD is able to hang on. They make a quality product that has gotten better over the years. No matter what brand we ride, it all comes down to enjoying what we do.

I would buy another one but have no need ride now.

How come they are saying production stopped 4 months ago? I thought we heard it stopped in or around Sept last year????

If sales were up I think they would be stating that. Why wouldn't you????

I hope they make it but it's going to be beyond difficult in my opinion. He's got to get a lending source for the company and the customer and he's got to have customers who can afford one of these and that means they need jobs.

In every Major housing market things are still going down. Foreclosures are up 35% this year. Things are not getting better they are getting worse and the taxes are coming at us from every direction.

Very difficult to sell a luxury item in what may very well be a bad US depression
