Neutral Light

My neutral light quit working today. I am not too worried about it but I would like to try and fix it. Any suggestions?

Mine is weird sometimes. It will read off but be in neutral. If I Just slightly touch the lever it will come on.

Check the connection on the top of the tranny. That is the big wire connector right on the top of the tranny. Check there first.

As Gas says the contacts get dirty and it will cause it to work intermitinely. I just reach down at a stop and wiggle it and it will come back on.
The top is open to water and other debrie so I filled mine in with RTV.

Mach you also be able to use a ohm meter or test light on the switch, if these still work like the older ones, when you put the trans in neutral the switch completes a ground to the circuit ..Dave.

I tried moving the wire around with no luck, installing the HID headlight would not affect this would it?
