neutral light

Hey all. 03 chopper here and while riding, no matter what gear i am in the neutral light is staying on. It just started last week. Racking my brain trying to figure it out. The bike does have WP installed so no ehc. Any ideas what this could be?

The switch could be shorted to ground or the wire is grounded

X2 chech the switch on top of the trany. NOTE: that switch only lights the light, it doesn't keep it from not statring in gear. But you probably know that already.

happened to me. it was a wire that was inside the speedo that was stripped a little bit resting on the bucket

Thank you i will check these. With the wire on the tranny, i have an ultima tranny. Should it still be on top of the tranny?

wire plus

check the white wire to your tranny. It dont think its connected or secure

I've had my neutral light stay on after driving thru a rain storm. It went out after it dried up.

I had the harness out of the dash and nothing grounding out there. What does the wire look like going to the tranny? I have an Ultima tranny, so I am not sure if it would be in the same spot as the Baker
