Need Tires for my K9, whats the best choice?

I have a 2007 K9 with about 6000 miles on the original tires. The rear is getting pretty thin. Which tire is the best choice. Avon, Metzler or Shinko. Any help will be appreciated.

I have the shinko with about 800 miles and are super pleased with wear and performance so far and at around $200 can't beat it. Still a little early for long term wear but tire looks still new.

Stick with the brand you have at 6000 miles. I like Avon.

Just fitted a 300 metz to mine. Handles well dunno about wear yet put dynobeads in as well seems a lot smoother.

I had a replacement Avon 300 separate with low miles, I replaced it with another brand new Avon that I bought at sturgis last year( for a spare), if this one goes to shit like the last one I will become a Metz customer from now on

have a 07 k9. got 7.ooo out of last avon, have over 11.000 on bike now still good! have spare avon sitting on top of tool box !

Wore out two sets of Avons. Not a bad tire but I'm running Metzlers now and in my opinion ride smoother and handle better. Just my $.02.

I've had 4 rear AVONs split on me because of a manufacturing defect. Got in contact with the North American Rep and had them replaced for nothing. The tires weren't on the scoot long enough to wear so no charge. After my last split, I went to Metz and have had no problems yet. I run Metz on both my bikes with no issues to date. I have over 5K on one bike and 2500 miles on the other and both still look new. AVON has supposedly fixed the issue with the joint splice issue.
