Need tach help

Just put new tach board in lights up kind of crazy all over the place all the way to red and back down on idle old board did not work at all haven't had the bike long don't know what plug wires it has does have wire plus checked all connections shot a little wd40 in them just to clean them any ideas

Think I'm gonna try to get a set of magnacore 10mm says for bikes with coil between cylinders

I had the exact same problem, changed the plug wires...TACH worked perfectly....all OK. Prior to installing the Magnecor wires, I re-installed the Accel wires and everything also worked as it should......That's why I have a new TACH board for sale :lol:

I'm at work now, they are stock black 8MM accel wires, nothing fancy, they were on the bike when purchased.

I think I read somewhere that BDM recommends resistor type spark plugs for our bikes to reduce electrical interference problems.

Big Dog Bro...I guess the question is why do these wires work on some bikes with no issues and screw up the TACH on others, I just tried to call Crowes Custom Cycles...I'll call them later when they open, they are on CST.
