Hey Crawfish, PM me, I can help you out. I don't have lights on my bike, but have installed many, many sets on customers bikes at the shop. I can let you know where to place them for the best effect.

It is pretty shitty that a member can't post a question up on the forum here (seens how that is what it is for) on a topic that he needs help on without everyone wasting 3 pages of posts on crticism and stupid posts putting your shit down.

I could see giving a guy a hard time if you mentioned the lights in someone elses thread, then he you are game for a hard time, but this is your thread and you deserve answers from members that can help. :2thumbs:

Just my 2 cents.... really, with the down turn in the economy, it is only worth about .00875 of a cent !!!:D

Crawfish, don't worry.. the lights aren't popular on this thread but the other bikers and chics always swarm my bike at night when the red lights hit that chrome. I had my lights installed at a Big Dog/Bourget dealer in Denver...they did an awesome job. You can't see the led bars and they hit three angles of the motor and both my front and rear wheels. Looks GREAT :whoop: Big Dog Motorcycles for Sale, Euromotion Inc. Custom Motorcycles in Denver Colorado and Sturgis SD

Call and talk to Mike...he'll tell you where they install the lights. Mike has installed a set on my 06 K9, my brother's 07 K9 and he's installing a set on my dad's brand new 08 K9 today!

can you post some pics of the locations of your lights, I have a set of XK Glow lights and I'm doing the install myself. I'm looking for a soft glow with no LEDs showing. I'm also looking for an even glow from the front wheel. engine and the back wheel. I'm riding an 06 K9 as well. thanks

Sorry I can’t help just didn’t know if you realized that the post was that old and the chances of you getting those pictures were slim. I personally don’t like the led lights and have never seen them work right anyway . Good luck

I have the xk glow kit on my Mastiff. Placement would be close to the same on a k-9.

But I have strips and pods on mine for the hard to get to places and I even cut and pinned the connectors in places to make my wires hide better. But I have 3 pods on each side of the swingarm, one the lower, one one the upper and one near the axel. One belt side I actually put one inside the belt guard. I have 5 strips under the bike, 2 on each side of the frame and one going along the pivot side of the swingarm, I have 4 strips under the gas tank 2 on each side of the backbone, I have one strip under the battery box above the starter, and 4 pods on the fork tubes where the front fender bolts to the bracket. 2 on each side of course.
