Need some direction....K9/Chopper

ok, here goes...I currently have an 04 Chopper, that I LOVE...but am thinking of stepping up to a K9 for the right side drive and 300 back tire. I only owe about 5K on my chopper...should be paid off by the end of the year. I doubt I will find anyone who wants to actually "trade" a K9 for a chopper, so I'm lokoing for the quickest way to sell off my Chopper and buy a nice K9....or find a dealer to do a trade in. Anyone have any suggestions on a good dealer to check out the trade in avenue?

Trading to a dealer is going to cost you money, he has to buy yours at whosale and still profit on the K9. Put your bike on Cycle Trader or something like that, sell yours first and then go look for a K9

Probably a good plan Stephen. I just looked it up on NADA, and I should be able to get ATLEAST 11-12K for it. That would give me a good chunk of cash to put down on a K9.

Depending on the condition and how nice / rare your paint is, I would price it just a little above NADA and put it on craigslist and all the nearby cities to your area. You can also throw it on ebay classifieds for free. Nice clear pictures will make a sell. Turn away the first flock of low-ballers unless you really want to sell fast. The right buyer will come along. It took me longer than expected to sell my AIH, but Big Dog and it's followers are like a cult ! lol I've had BD dealers not budge on outrageous prices when I offered them cash on the spot. But the right buyer will come and it will eventually sell if you don't mind the wait. GL
