Need some answers before i drop $800+

Energy One
Hey bro kuryakan makes a big dog peg adapter for their pegs I think that the part number is 8881 or 8882 but I put them on my bike because I didn't want to spend $600 plus and only have 4 or 5 options. I have 2 different styles of pegs one for everyday riding and one for bike night and everything cost me less than $200. Look for the parts on eBay.

All im finding is for 04-10... I have an 03. Mounts are different. Going to have to buy new mounts and the adapters because i took the mounts to my bench grinder to line up the holes for now so i can have pegs that arnt all jacked up on it. Thanks for this tho its helping alot.

What do the 03 forward controls look like I have never seen them. I have seen the passenger peg mounts and they are only slightly different. Do your peg mounts use the the plastic bushings with the smaller Allen bolt or are they more like the Harley type?

The pegs look like harley mount with the 2 rubber bushings but like 1/4 in or so longer mounts. So the harley pegs i ordered dont touch the end... Ergo they fall down instead of lock when the extend lol. But i have them rigged for now. Ill figure something out

Well kuryakyn have a lot of different peg adapters and they all will fit into all of their pegs. But an 03 it should be easier to get aftermarket forward controls that will fit they should be the same as 84 to 99 Harley softail forward controls. Shift side had 3 bolt holes in a triangle pattern and brake side has 2 bolt holes in a upward angle 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top about an inch and a half apart.

Quick question... Any way to stiffen the rear suspenssion on my 03 mastiff? Hitting bottom everywhere i go alone and worse when mama hops on... Any way to tighten them or anything to make them stiffer, without replacement lol. Going down the road they feel smooth and fine they just dont take the crappy streets in my town very well...

I'm really sorry to tell that you can't on the stock shocks especially knowing your current situation. Now having said that they might not be the stock shocks, have you looked at them? If so what do they look like? Once I know what shocks you have I will be able to advise you better so If you can send me a picture taken from the rear tire looking forward then I will know if I can help you adjust them or not.

Have a look at the attached section of the 03 manual, you can adjust your pre-load, there was a thread a few months back with pictures regarding the same (I think it was on a vintage, but same idea)..click a couple pics of your shocks, and post em up.

Can you drill the end and put a pin in it so it don't fall
