04 pitbull, original ehc, wiring to battery came loose, causing battery post to melt, installed new battery.

No power,no leds on ehc, when I touch cable to battery, all leds will flash. Can I assume ehc is shot? Shop in greeneville sc. Want 1450 to install another unit( not sure what type)...any suggestions?

Let me guess Extreme Cycles in Greenville, SC? They are very expensive. You might want to try C&C Thunder in Spartanburg or maybe East Coast Cycles in Forest City NC. If you buy the ECH they will install it. Wild Steed Worx sells them, then pay one of them to install it. Not sure what kind you have but besides 2 bolts and the wiring harness not sure why it would cost so much to change out?

Assuming it really is your EHC, and if you have an 04 with the original wiring just get the ELEKTRONIK EHC. It plugs right in, and works great.

Wild Steed Worx sells it as well as a few others. https://www.wildsteedworx.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=68_174_180_241&products_id=1775

All you need is to unplug your old EHC and plug the new EHC in and go ride.
All the other BS is unnecessary.

Big Dog 04 EHC Replacement
Hey
Listen to the Kaptin, he is the man :)
Hey kapttin, replaced the ehc with the one from wild steelz today. When i turn bike on only blinkers light up, the ignition light...red ...doesnt light up either, . I can program bike just like paperwork says but nothing else works....two blue leds on ehc. It was easy to swap. The original ehc fried because the battery bolt became loose and melted post...fyi....that battery was installed by dealer in greenville sc. But its been a couple years. Anyone got suggestions? Ive lost 55%of income last ywo years and not sure which direction to go. Main harness plug appears to be firmly set. Voltage to circuit breaker. Does the circuit breaker reset button lock in or out? I can push it in and it just returns to static position.

Did you try to start the bike? With the new EHC the only thing that comes on initially is the turn signal lights, freaked me out the first time too. Go back and read the directions closely and Axel explains this. Give it a try and I'll bet she fires right up.

I think if we are talking about one of those square kind of having a clear plastic cover over the square, but in the center looks like a red bullseye? It's only one direction that it will work. Press down it stays down and current flows. It pops up, it has a short on one side of that button box.
