Hey dawgs

Been awhile since last post. Been mostly snowmobiling here in north east. Anyways been getting my 07 bulldog ready for season and just had full service done at reputable place by reliable mechanic. He noticed that when draining oils there was a lot of metal in all of the oils. He also adjusted loose primary chain. Is it safe to assume that it was likely the chain or should i be searching for something else? Dont want to start opening up stuff if not necessary. First time ive ever had metal in oils. 8000 miles with OE. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just did one on a K9, hub nut was tight, but the bearing on the input shaft for the transmission was starting to go bad.

Very likely primary oil Will have some metal in it. If he drained all the oil into a single container then it would be hard to tell where it came from.
Agree, and if he saved the filter, it could be cut open to look for metal, ( a good mechanic would have done this if suspecting )
