Need opinions - 03 Chopper vs 07+ K9

I need your guys opinions.

As much as I love my 03 Chopper, I have always had a desire for a K9. I like the simplicity of the 03 Chopper, rock solid 107ci, LSD, Harley Controls, basically a bike that can easily be kept for life with ez to find parts.

But - that doesn't stop the desire for a bigger (cooler?) K9. The 300 tire has grown on me - actually better than the 250 now. Longer, fatter, more rake etc.

Throw some thoughts at me - is your guys opinion that its not really THE Big Dog unless its a K9?? Which would you prefer?

I'm contemplating selling the Chopper (even tho I just finished the upgrades to be the perfect bike for me) and buying a K9........

Do it? Or leave well enough alone and ride?

p.s. - Im not sure Curtis's vote counts - cause he know it just means I will have to buy a bunch more parts all over again! :lol:

Sounds good to me... it would give you the chance to ride the K-9 for a while without sacrificing your chopper. Who knows, you may not like the K-9... but I doubt it. :2thumbs:

I bought an 07 K9 and sold my 07 Bulldog. The K9 was perfect and ready to ride except for having to rebuild the transmission, add a Baker open belt drive and a new set of wheels, rotors and pulley and tires. And the new led light from Curtis who you already know i would go for it:up:

Joe, when I had my 05 Bulldog I loved the bike, but I always wanted a bike that had the 300 tire and a little more rake and stretched out more, so that being said I will have to say definitely get a K-9!!!! You will love it! I am so happy with my 09 Mastiff compared to the 05 Bulldog it's ridiculous!

Unfortunately I cant afford to (or be allowed to) do that!! I assumed some may be Chopper fans but it looks like a no brainier to you guys.

I'll start looking for one. I'll keep what I have till I find what I want, because that allows me to be picky, not rushed, and look for a good price too!

I'll keep my eye out for a nice low miles 07+ K9 (must be plain black). Hell it may take a year or more before I find that right one, but that's ok.

p.s. - I still like the rounded edge Chopper gas tank better than the flat bottom K9 tank :argue: :lol:

This is a toughy - it really is. Cause Mittens point is one of the reason I looked for the chopper. I have a feeling I'll be riding the chop for a while anyway cause an extremely nice low mile solid black K9 close to me doesn't come along all the time! But I'll keep looking.

I did buy the 5* Wolf raked tree from BDPK a while back - maybe I should throw them on there before spring - then she will have the K9 rake!
