Need Help

Energy One
I have a 2009 K9 thats been trouble free since new. Today I start it up to go for a ride and it idles a little rough. When I give it throttle it feels like it bogs for a second then clears up. After getting fuel I got about a mile away from the gas station and it completley died on me. I let it sit for a few minutes then tried to start it. Cranked two or three times but would'nt start. After 10 minutes I tried it again and it started but still idleing rough. Gave it some throttle and it shut off again. This happened three or four times. When i thought all hope was lost I gave it one more try and she fired up and sounded perfect. I hopped on to get back home and made it maybe another mile before it died again. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Gas is a week old and I did'nt hear it suck any air in when I opened it. Not sure what you mean about check valve on gas cap. If your asking if it clicks when i fully tighten it then yes I still have it.

The gas cap is vented , and sometimes it goes bad and creates a vacuum within the tank and starves the engine of gas.
The other thing is how do your spark plugs look?
Gas cap may also be on too tight, unable to vent.

You could possibly have some water in your gas. I filled up once and the dang bike ran like crap and quit on me also. Drain the fuel bowl and see how it runs then. That's if your tank is venting properly...

Here a good read for your issues. Let me know if this helps at all. I had a similar issue and found after I cleaned the screen, adjusted timing, and carburetor all was good. Good luck..
