i took my clutch bearing carrier off today, and all the tranny oil started leaking out, there was a little brown seal on the trans spline, its called the clutch to trans oring in the manual, when i put the carrier back on and tighten it with a impact the leak kinda slowed down there was a little drip coming from behind the carrier,is this normal? when i replace the carrier should i just replace the oring also? or is it my transmission seal?thanks jim

also can i reuse my primary rubber gasket and just add some red rtv high temp gasket sealer?
Yes you can... I strongly suggest it. Just try and get silver so you don't see it from the top when its all back together.

And yes, its normal. The clutch carrier pushes the seal in and makes it seal. Mine and Jake's both leaked... here's a few pics of mine...

Still leaking... and kept doing it till I put the primary and clutch basket back on.

thanks gas, think i should get a new oring? cause i noticed there still a little drip,i dont think i have to change the big seal right? is the oring suppose to stop the tranny oil from going into the spline shaft of the tranny?

The drip will quit when you put the clutch basket back on... just as I said.

I may be old school on this, but gaskets are cheap and time and labor are not. When you're spending the time (you or labor dollars) to get in there, why the hell whould you not change the gaskets with new ones?!?!?!?!?

But did you torque on the carrier? if not it won't hold.

Chacha, you're right but there is nothing wrong with this drip. Its the nature of this beast... it will stop and there will be no problem once its back together.
