Need Help

2002 PitBull, riding along and bike shuts down, then will start up and go a few miles and shuts down again. I just had the coil/ignition cover off to tighten up the coil mounting bolts, so question is can the coil be wired up backward?
Is there a polarity on the coil? Anyone have any ideas?

If it was backwards it would not run Mastifdave did that on his wireplus install and NO start.

If it was running good before you need to trace you steps and make sure every thing is nice and thight, that wires are not arching or too close to the cover and causing them to arch.
