NEED HELP!!!

I go out to my bike this morning to check my left tail light that has been off. I take it out and make sure all the connections are secured and it was, so i put it back together and it was still off which I figured it would be. So I looked down at my license plate and figured I would turn it vertical which I did and came out real nice! I figured I will ask on the forum if anybody had any idea's about the left rear light. I have turn signals, brake lights, I just don't have a running light on the left side and I do on the right side. So I figure I'll just take it out for a ride since it's real nice out and when I go to turn the bike on and now I don't have speedo lights, it doesn't even come on. Here's what's really weird, I always have my bike on the battery tender and it's showing red right now. It was green before I took it off to go for a ride and now it's staying red. :loony: Did something get shorted out? Any help would be appreciated! :bang::bang:

The green light just came back on......so it is charged again. Something drew that battery down I'm thinking.

my tender light takes a few minutes to turn back green after disconnecting it.you were checking your lights before that,was your battery connected to the tender while checking your lights?make sure you have power to the light connector,those pin connecters do break off in the plug.good luck im sure someone with more experience on the electrical stuff will chime in.hope you get it figured out.

Look between your fender and the tire and check to see if the harness on that side didn't come detached from the fender. If it did then it rubbed your wire raw which would make your other lighting act funny.

Try that first. That's what happened to me.

you can also try switching the leds from side to side.maybe something with the bulbs.just another thought.

Could be the board is bad. As mobsta said take the good one out and switch it with the bad one and see if it works. Not sure on the 05 but on my 06 the wires for the LED runs on the outside of the fender. The strut has a cutout for the wires.

update please i have same issue, just not with the speedo. left runnng lite out, but comes and goes somtimes. i have turn and brake lights. any info would be great.
